I made a mission mod back in December of 1998 and I've now uploaded it to GitHub and GitLab. To install, download the zip and place the mapa0000.mis file in Datos\Misiones
When reviewing a mod, you pretty much know within the first 30 seconds what mark you're going to give it. This mod was no exception. From the start, I was aware that my tactics would have to be drastically different. Two of my commandos were already frozen in the sights of German guards, while the third was stuck on an island in the middle of the water. What to do? Well, I won't spoil it for you, but it certainly wasn't all that easy. And it was real fun doing it, too. A great mod for Krogell's debut.
Additionally, I found a number of old mods from other people on my computer, download them below.
I've decided to resurrect my old Commands: Behing Enemy Lines site after it being offline for over 20 years.
It required some refurbishing, I removed some of the more useless 90s web-stuff but did keep the TABLE design for the most part. I also changed some of the more hideous colors hoping to strike a balance between retro authenticity and readability.
All the links to other sites were also dead so they now point to the Internet archive wayback machine. Visit the Links section for an entrypoint to the Commandos community of the late 90s.
What baffles me the most about this trip down memory lane is that the site was active for a mere two and a half months before announing reirement. The web was different back in 1998.

The Commando Centre gave me their Site Of The Week Award which has been won by Commandos The Game and Casblanca before me, Thanks Andreas :-)
GameGuides.com Commandos Guide

PC Gamer review
The Warmachine informed that there is a review in the newest PC Gamer, it's not up on the net yet but Xenos quoted this:
"Commandos isn't for the faint of heart, or the short of temper, but when played with methodical planning and patience, it can be an enjoyable game." HIGHS: The tactical action and mission-based puzzling can be fun... LOWS: ...although much of the time the linear campaign and very difficult missions are frustrating. BOTTOM LINE: Commandos has a lot to offer, but less patient gamers should look elsewhere.
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines - on the web opens!
Finally I got the page redone (sorry for the delay), for those how voted for me to have this as a LinkPage I've put all that stuff under the 'Links' and his doesn't mean that I won't provide new links (there's a few new links since the last update). I've made a 'Tips & Tricks' section where I've put my best ticks in silency etc. There are actually no 'Walkthroughs' yet but you can submit which missions you'd like to have walks to. At 'Other Stuff' there will be level codes, bug reports and stuff that doesn't fit in anywhere else. All the polls that have been and will be are posted att the 'Polls' section. The 'News' will be here.
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines Linkpage
2021-12-12: Site created as a collection of links to other Commands sites. Search wasn't as good back then so it was worthwhile to keep track of sites somewhere.
